MOTOR retailer Lookers Kia in Stockport is backing local sportswomen by providing Stockport Georgians Cricket Club with new kits this season.
The new attire was presented to the club’s ladies team in time for its first match of the season.
The dealership will continue to support the club throughout the season with tailored offers to players and coaches as well as cheering them on from the stands.
The donation is part of Kia’s wider Gift of Kit initiative to promote grass roots cricket sponsorship.
Lookers is investing in a range of grass roots sports, with its dealerships sponsoring teams and individuals across the country, in everything from football to motocross.
On a bigger stage Lookers Kia Stockport recently became a sponsor of Stockport County and has already become a recognisable name at Edgeley Park.
Matthew Royle, General Sales Manager at Lookers Kia Stockport, said: “It’s important to us that we’re not only known for the fantastic range of Kia cars we represent, but also that we’re known as a brand that supports the local community and the local sport that means so much to many of our customers.”
Beth Garnett, captain of Stockport Georgians Womens 1st XI, said: “We’re over the moon to have received our new kits for the new season and would like to thank Lookers Kia for the fantastic support they have given us. We look forward to working with the dealership as we prepare for our upcoming games.”
