A man has been charged after a stolen vehicle rammed a police car.
Keano Byrne, (15/03/1997) of no fixed address has been charged with robbery, two counts of driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, criminal damage, section 47 assault, two counts of possessing a Class A drug and one count of possessing a Class B drug.
He is due to appear before Stockport Magistartes’ Court today Wednesday 1 May 2019.
At around 9am on Monday 29 April 2019 a 20 year old woman was parked on Howard Street, Stockport in a Vauxhall Viva when a man threatened her before stealing the vehicle.
The vehicle later failed to stop for officers in Gorton before ramming a police car. The driver fled the scene but was detained by police shortly afterwards.
