Think Employment are going to offer more one week training courses in 2019 that boost people's chances of finding work.

Every month the Stockport-based training provider will be delivering at least one Vacancy-led Skills Programme to people who are keen to imporve their knowledge and skill set in specific sectors. However, in January they are running not one, but two free courses...

Starting on Monday 21st January is a course for people interested in working in Hospitality.

While the following week, people can enrol on a Retail training course that includes a Health and Safety in the Workplace qualification, which is sought after by employers in the sector.

Both courses have been designed to be the ideal starting point for anyone interested in either Hospitality or Retail as a career.

The training is short, being only a week long, but delivers important skills and qualifications required for people who want a new career.

“Our aim is to help people upskill and find a job they want to do”, explained Think Employment’s spokesperson Carla Kenworthy.

“In the last 12 months, we know that literally thousands of jobs in Hospitality and Retail have been advertised in the Stockport area - so we know the opportunities are out there.”

“What we do is equip people with the skills, knowledge and qualifications we know

Hospitality and Retail employers are looking for in their candidates.”

Think Employment deliver pre-employment training that meets the needs of adults (over the age of 19) across the whole of the North of England - not just Stockport.

The training provider delivered over 2,400 nationally-recognised qualifications and helped more than 1,600 people improve their workplace skills in the last 12 months alone.

And with even more Vacancy-led Skills Programmes on the horizon for 2019, it promises to be good news for jobseekers in Stockport.
