Stockport Central Library will be hosting 4 further Lloyds Bank Academy free digital training sessions. The weekly sessions are an excellent opportunity for people who are looking for work or volunteering at local charities, who want to brush up on their digital skills. They will help attendees to understand the changing digital work landscape and equip them with the tools necessary to succeed.
Cllr Elise Wilson, Cabinet Member (Reform and Governance) at Stockport Council said: "We're delighted to be working with The Lloyds Bank Academy and a range of great digital inclusion partners in Stockport to help more residents get the digital skills they need to get on in life and work."
"In an increasingly online world it is vital that everyone, whatever their age or background, has the digital skills they need, whether that is to open up employment opportunities, benefit from saving money by getting the best deals or to keep in touch with friends and family."
To attend the sessions residents, need to be able to turn on a device and access the internet; open a browser and find a website; have an email account that can be accessed securely using a password and set-up an account to enable registering for an event.
