Bryan to celebrate his 62nd birthday

13 May 2019 09:22

Bryan Little, a resident of Stockport Cerebral Palsy Society's Cheddle Lodge residential home, with the support of "Team Cheddle" will be taking part in the Simplyhealth Greater Manchester Run 10k on Sunday 19th May 2019.

Bryan has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and when growing up, he couldn't access mainstream education and could not take part in individual or team sport events - not even a school sports day! Today, Bryan is preparing to celebrate his 62nd birthday in style - he is going to complete the Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run 10k for a 3rd time!

Not satisfied with just taking part in the 10k, Bryan also wants to raise money to replace the TV and sound system at Cheddle Lodge where he has lived for the past thirty years. Bryan loves music (in particular heavy rock), he loves to hear and physically feel the music too. Bryan wants his fellow residents to feel and experience music in the same way with a new TV and sound system.

This is Bryan's way to say thanks for all the help and support given to him over the last 62 years by many, many people from health care professionals, family, friends, carers and volunteers.

Look out for "Team Cheddle" and Bryan wearing their Stockport CP Society T-shirts on Sunday 19th May and please donate to help everyone at Cheddle Lodge rock with Bryan!
