Thank you to residents who have helped the Council deal with weather related issues over the weekend.

50 weather related issues were reported around the borough including removing debris, fallen branches, street lighting issues and signage - all of which have been dealt with over the weekend. Thank you to our partner agencies who have been working closely with the Council in the challenging circumstances over the weekend to alleviate the effects of the storm.

If you have anything you wish to report which hasn’t been done so already, you can here and a member of our team investigate as a matter of priority on our website.

It is important to keep safe and well in adverse weather conditions. Currently, there is a Met Office Yellow Weather Warning for snow and ice in Stockport, and this is due to continue until Wednesday evening. There is also a flood warning in force now for the River Mersey at Cheadle Wood and Ford lane and you can keep up to date with flood warnings.

We’d also advise to check before you travel as some services may be disrupted with the continuing storm.
