STOCKPORT MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER

A man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

Jerome Williams (16/09/1996) of Beresford Crescent, North Reddish, Stockport has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

He appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court this morning (Tuesday 18 February 2020) and was remanded to appear at Crown Court on Monday 17 March 2020.

At around 7.15pm on Monday 3 February 2020, police were called to reports of a firearms discharge on Hollyhouse Drive in Woodley, Stockport.

Emergency services attended and a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with gunshot injuries to his legs.
