The Bullock Smithy pub in Hazel Grove has reopened as The Bulls Head after a £450,000 investment from pub owners Greene King Pub Partners to transform the pub.

The new look and new named pub will be operated by franchisees Phil and Emma Flynn - a husband and wife team.

The reopening of the pub has created 15 new full time and part time jobs so far.

The makeover of the pub includes a complete refresh of the pub throughout creating a more modern look and feel with new lighting, furniture, decorations and flooring inside. Outside, the pubs beer garden has been completely overhauled with quirky 'beach huts' and a large octagonal pergola surrounding a central firepit.

The Bulls Head will offer an extensive range of both food and drink. In terms of food, it will have something for everyone, with a daily menu offering a variety of pub classics curated by the food team at Greene King and paired with tasty deserts. It will also offer a kid's menu, senior's menu and Sunday roast.

The beer on offer at The Bulls Head will range from standard and premium lagers, to ciders, stouts and ales - plus a number of craft beers for those looking for something extra special. The pub will also serve a range of spirits, wines, soft drinks and alcohol-free options.

The Bulls Head will have Sky Sports and BT Sport subscriptions to show all the big sports making it the place to go locally to watch a game. The pub will also offer entertainment including music nights and karaoke.

Speaking about their pub, Phil and Emma Flynn said:

"We cannot wait to welcome people into The Bulls Head!

"The pub has been completely transformed from when it was the Bullock Smithy. On the inside it's got brand new fixtures, fittings and artwork. Outside the beer garden has been completely overhauled. You wouldn't even believe it was the same building!

"From great pub grub and drinks, to sport and entertainment - we have something for everyone! We look forward to welcoming you!"

Andy Wearn, Business Development Manager at Greene King Pub Partners said:

"It's a real privilege to open The Bulls Head to the local community. We've invested £450,000 in the pub to transform it and give the people of Hazel Grove a local pub to be proud of! Its unrecognisable form what the pub once was."
