Guests came out in force to support the official launch of The Light's new bowling and entertainment offer at Stockport's must-visit leisure destination, Redrock.

New additions to the popular venue include 10 luxury bowling lanes, an arcade, interactive darts, karaoke, and American pool - something for everyone!

The 12-screen cinema and diner have been a huge success since opening, bringing more people into the town centre to enjoy a film and a bite to eat and to take advantage of Stockport's thriving leisure scene.

In further good news, Afiyet restaurant has also recently opened at Redrock, serving authentic Turkish cuisine, which means the development is now fully let. They will join high street favourites Pizza Express, Zizzi and Berretto Lounge, as well as The Gym.

Cllr Colin MacAlister, Cabinet Member for Economy and Regeneration at Stockport Council, said: "Redrock has become an integral and much-loved part of our town centre and even through difficult times businesses can see the value of opening here. The fact that it is now fully let speaks volumes and shows real confidence in Stockport.

"With so much happening in the area, like improvements to Merseyway, the new transport interchange and a burgeoning food and drink scene at the Underbanks, there's never been a better time to visit Stockport. I wish The Light and Afiyet every success."

Keith Pullinger, Co-Founder at The Light, said: "We are so excited to have opened this latest addition to The Light's offer and we've been delighted by the response we've received since our launch. It was clear that Stockport needed more leisure activities and we feel we now have something for everyone which will hopefully attract even more people to the town centre."

Stockport is currently undergoing an exciting and ambitious £1bn regeneration programme, creating new communities, homes, jobs and opportunities, improved infrastructure and a wide range of economic benefits. The town is attracting big name businesses and smaller independents, breathing new life into the town centre and making it a vibrant and desirable location to live, work, play and connect.
