Stockport Beer & Cider Festival 2019 in support of Stockport CP Society

23 May 2019 03:17

The popular Stockport Beer & Cider Festival, organised by CAMpaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), is set to take place again at the recently promoted home of Stockport County FC from 30 May - 1 June.

Stockport Cerebral Palsy Society (Stockport CP) is the festival's current charity and the event itself will pull in crowds of about 4,000 over the 3 days. The charity will hold a bar at the event, which is kindly sponsored by Casino 36 (Stockport).

The charity bar will offer 6 locally brewed cask ales, all of which have been kindly donated by local breweries. They have also arranged for Dean Lahan, aka The Fingerless Magician, to provide the entertainment on Friday (8pm-10pm) and Saturday (2pm-4pm) as well as some exciting raffle and 50/50 prizes to be won over the 3 days.

This event is a crucial opportunity for Stockport CP to raise vital funds for their on-going work in supporting people with a range of complex disabilities to gain independence and confidence in their day to day lives. All fund raised will go directly into supporting their wide range of services which are designed to provide specialist care, support and rewarding experiences for children, young people and adults. Stockport CP is a local, independent parent/carer led charity with a 66-year history.

"We are delighted that we are, again, the chosen charity for the Stockport Beer and Cider Festival and even more so that Casino 36 (Stockport) have chosen to sponsor our charity bar this year. This event will generate essential income for our charity which will make a positive difference to our service users." Sarah Thomas, CEO at Stockport CP.

"Casino 36 is proud to be a part of the Beer and Cider Festival this year and support this worthwhile, local charity. We look forward to seeing everyone there." Mark Scorah, General Manager at Casino 36.
