This year is a big year for Stockport Samaritans who are celebrating their 40th anniversary having opened in 1979.
We estimate we've taken over a MILLION calls to those in need in this time - and to mark this amazing statistic, exactly 40 buses across Stockport have been branded with Samaritan ads from this week. We hope this will spread awareness to another million callers.
Every year, there are around 25-30 suicides in Stockport.
